# Taxes

> Understand how taxes and VAT are calculated on Laravel Cloud subscription billing.

## Sales tax and VAT

Laravel calculates sales tax and VAT based on your organization's [billing address](/docs/organizations#billing-details). Laravel collects the appropriate taxes for your jurisdiction automatically on each invoice.

## Tax IDs

To add your Tax ID, go to your [billing details](/docs/organizations#billing-details). Make sure "Bill as" is set to "Company". Then, enter your identifier in the "Tax ID" field and click "Save". Laravel includes your Tax ID on all future invoices.

## Tax exemptions

If your organization qualifies for tax exemptions, submit a support request through our normal [support channels](/docs/support). We will help you create a tax exemption certificate that applies to tax calculations on your future invoices.
